Immigration & Visas

You have spent some while exchanging letters or emails with your new friend, sooner or later, you will wish to meet her face to face in her home country, and later on, if all goes well, you would obviously wish to take the plunge, apply for a fiancee visa for her and bring her home with you. It is at this point that life becomes interesting (In the sense of the old Chinese curse: "May you live in interesting times").

Bringing a foreign national into a European Country, the USA or Canada, is not an easy matter, but it can be accomplished - it is mainly a matter of carefully studying all the relevant rules and making sure that you are dotting every "i" and crossing every "t". If you do everything "by the book", you should find that you will eventually cut through all the red tape, and succeed in your aims.

With this in mind, we have assembled a list of many resources (Governments, Embassies, Consulates etc) that should give you most of the information that you need.

Good Luck!
